Dave is one of the most gifted and talented trim carpenters in Austin.  Over the past seven years, he's trimmed my entire house with custom built paneling, built me a one of a kind tongue and groove  porch, built a custom designed 20 ft x 10 ft arbor, and been our handy man.  Our house has been professionally filmed and some of the trim work was posted on a manufacture's webpage. We wanted nothing but custom pieces, and Dave did an amazing job of transferring our ideas from paper to wood.  In return we got exactly what we wanted, which is one of a kind custom wainscoting, molding, railing and base. Dave had to rip each piece of wainscoting, which took the skill and patience of a craftsman to ensure each piece matched the others and would integrate nicely into the 4 layer trim package we custom designed with Dave (we saved money having Dave design versus the architect). IMG_1880Lastly, and probably most importantly, he built the most magnificent stair case out of Sucupira and custom cut railings (no stock pieces). Everything Dave does is custom tailored to the home owners specific requirements, which is very hard to do.  Needless to say we're extremely happy with Dave's work and he's been great about follow up calls and maintenance .  . . I don't even bother with the original cabinet manufacture because Dave is more responsive. Dave's knowledge of wood and shaping wood is exceptional.  The custom designed arbor is still standing strong today and represents the strength and value of Dave's work.  Dave will probably hate that I write this, but I found his prices to be very reasonable when compared to some of the "brand name" trim guys in Austin who I think are ridiculously overpriced. . . . He's that passionate about working on new projects and he really enjoys his craft which is probably the best attribute for a craftsman.   You need someone that is as passionate about your project as you are. --James G., Austin, TX _________________________________________________________ Dave and his crew and his wife Miranda were awesome.  We bought a home in Austin and needed crown molding installed.  I picked Dave based solely on Yelp reviews.  We were actually still in the process of moving back to Austin so we weren't even in Austin to meet. I dealt with Dave and Miranda solely via phone, text, and emailing. They were very responsive.  Dave walked through our property, and we discussed our needs on the phone.  I could tell he knew what he was talking about based on less detailed conversations with other trim carpenters.  I needed someone I could trust. . . . His estimate was reasonable, and he worked with us to make sure the job would be done within our required time frame given other contractors that were also involved doing other work.  He sent photos of what he intended to use and also as the work progressed. I unfortunately found the need to find someone to re-do the bum job another carpenter did on our kitchen recycle cabinet retrofit.  He [Dave] listened to what I wanted and reviewed the situation.  He knew what needed to be done and agreed it could've been done better to make better use of the space.  He fixed the problem and even added a drawer above the cabinet! His work was so good that other contractors I've used for other work in our house have made comments on how great the crown molding looks and how well Dave and his crew took care of our property during the work and in our absence.  If you need a trim carpenter, you definitely need to use Dave.  In addition, I'm a pretty particular customer with regards to what I expect from a customer service point of view.  Dave and Miranda were wonderful at every step of the process, and we feel so lucky to have found them. --Jay V., Austin, TX
